I know...It's hard to follow all the American holiday's I revoke, but please try to keep up.
In the spirit of the season (bah humbug), I thought I’d make a list of the things and people I’m especially thankful for this year. I'd be lying if I said this didn't feel like a Thanksgiving Day version of Stockholm Syndrome. Anyway.
- I’m thankful for THE FAM.
- My mom, who is so kind, gentle and loving. She teaches me how to be a lady.
- My dad, the man with the plan, who is always so supportive and lets me act like a little kid.
- Matthew, who despite his decidedly unattractive choice in facial hair is still the most fun, generous, doting big brother in the world.
- The prettiest girl in California, my sister Megan, who always surprises me with her grace and charm.
- Also, special shout-out for bringing Rob, Mak, Averie and baby Evan into the family. Good work.
- My Aunts and Uncles that send me love and cards. Whether it’s through Facebook, e-mail or good ‘ole snail mail – I love it all.
- My cousins – Who laugh at my jokes and make me more funny by association.
- For Michelle’s blog that makes me smile every day.
- For Annie and Chris' baby on the way.
- And for the one and only Noni and Papa – Enough said.
- I’m thankful to have the best friends a girl could wish for.
- Ashley for working day and night to make me the best New Yorker I can be.
- Aimee, Becky, Styna, Nicole, Sofia and Ang. You should go in the family section.
- The one person that can always calm me down: Tyler.
- And for my New York heart & souls: Bryn, Alli, Jax, Laurel, Cat, Brian, Cole, Melissa, Jason and Trevor. Oh, and everyone that was on the Golf Pub Crawl, holla!
- I’m thankful for New York City – For keeping me interested, enlightened and excited to live here.
- Thanks for housing all the people I’ve met along the way (I like some more than others).
- Central Park ponds, Sheep’s Meadow and over-sized balloons tied on kid’s wrists.
- My favorite lesser-known landmarks: The Manhattan Bridge and the Chrysler Building.
- The Staten Island Ferry and its $3 tall cans of beer.
- Thanks for the fireflies that were in Stuyvesant Park that one time.
- Mid-intersection benches in the UWS and sunny fall days.
- The East River Running Path.
- Artichoke Pizza and Mister Softee.
- And I’m going to regret this, but thanks for the Subway; its underground catacombs are fast and mostly tolerable.
- I’m thankful for my job.
- Access NY. How lucky am I to have a job in New York City, during a recession that I actually love? Pretty GD lucky.
- Access SF, for leaving the door open for me to come home whenever I want.
- I'm thankful for materialistic things too: shall we?
- My Marc Jacobs mouse flats. Thanks for the smiles.
- My lucky iPod. You're pretty in pink, and I love you for it.
- The new grey cashmere sweater that I'm wearing.
- The new Nike running shoes from a friend at Self Magazine.
- My It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia poster that looks like art.
- And my window AC. Hands down: Best purchase of 2009.
Clearly, I’m leaving more than a few people and things off here, but I love you and I’m quite thankful for you too.
Happy Thanksgiving! Smooches - jenna

Excellent post...I miss you. Thanksgiving won't be the same without you...?! What?!! I don't know...it's gonna be rough. I did buy a little carton of egga nogga the other day...drank some...poured a little on the ground for ya...it wasn't the same. Tasty...but without the ambience.
Family is good...very good. And we are blessed to have an AMAZING one...just got to spend many blessed hours with your mom and bro yesterday...they selflessly gave and came and helped us with the crazy shop move. Loved. Majorly.
And Ollie was even helpful, too...he was a good boy the WHOLE time.
I love you...and miss you...and I'm so proud of you. (And thanks for the shout out...!)
...forgot to mention...lovin' the new header. Nice!
oh...and one other thing...Matt's stache? It's grown on me. There. I said it.
